Tucked away in Hoiser Lane and amongst all the graffiti walls, Frank Camorra and wife opened up the first of a handful of successful Movida branches, Movida Bar de Tapas, in 2003.
My usual eating companion is my significant other (the poor thing), and so I get really excited when we have group dinners because it means more food to try with awesome company. With a dear friend on a short holiday back to Sydney, it calls for a group outing and we opt for Encasa for tapas, perfect for sharing.
MoVida has expanded and finally made its way to Sydney and found a home in Surry Hills. You can hear just about every Sydney-sider cheering because now there is no need for a trip to Melbourne to get a dose of Frank Camorra. I’ve not been to any MoVida locations in Melbourne so was very excited to try the one in Sydney, 6 weeks after the opening.
