Quick Eats in Los Angeles, USA

This is my 3rd visit to LA since 2005 and I fall in love the city more and more each time. This trip we found ourselves doing things we’d normally wouldn’t/never be able to do.

All About The Bread, West Hollywood – California, USA

I love days when on vacation where there are zero plans. Going with the flow definitely makes you feel somewhat of a local. Los Angeles is one of my favourite destinations, despite a lot (like, a lot) of others not enjoying it at all. I have to admit it is because I have quite a bit of family in LA so the company is just awesome. There’s plenty of them to take me around, especially to those places that only locals would know about.

Fatman Catering Pty Ltd, St Johns Park

Nearly every suburb (or second) has their own little local shopping villages. I have to say these places are generally overlooked because they aren’t the one stop shop place for you to buy all your groceries/everyday needs and usually only have a handful of independent shops. One of my local villages has a tuck shop that has been established since 2010 run by a local family (they went to my high school). It’s definitely a hidden gem that only those in the community know or have heard about it. Good hearty food at decent prices has won the hearts of the locals.

Double Barrel, Sydney CBD

Located on York Street, Double Barrel is in a prime location for those who work around Wynard and a great meeting point for a coffee break and/or lunch spot. Working in the city means I can take advantage of these great little finds (when the opportunity arises of course).

42 hours in Las Vegas, California

I have to be completely honest with you. Eating was not on the agenda during my weekend bender in Las Vegas. Despite there being a ridiculous amount of things that were on my to eat list, it wasn’t a priority this time around. It was all about the fun and spending time with my oh so awesome family.

Reuben Hills, Surry Hills

A short break from my USA travels – perhaps it’s nice to post about something accessible here in Sydney (haha). It’s always good to change things up a little anyways. A sunny Sunday afternoon brings us to Reuben Hills in Surry Hills. It’s a real shame that I don’t get to go out to Surry Hills more often. I know there is so much on offer and my to go list is as long as ever right now.
