Mr Crackles – enough said.
Located on Old Castle Hill Road as part of Castle Towers Shopping Centre is The Baron - one of the many places opening out west nowadays. It has been opened for a few short years and continues to draw in the crowds.
Cheers to the freakin’ weekend, as Rhianna would say! Cute use of letter magnets. Continue reading
We didn’t expect for our last meal in Hawaii to be at a sports bar with new york deli style sandwiches and cocktails but it ended up being one of the best meals we had (suprisingly).
This is my 3rd visit to LA since 2005 and I fall in love the city more and more each time. This trip we found ourselves doing things we’d normally wouldn’t/never be able to do.
I love days when on vacation where there are zero plans. Going with the flow definitely makes you feel somewhat of a local. Los Angeles is one of my favourite destinations, despite a lot (like, a lot) of others not enjoying it at all. I have to admit it is because I have quite a bit of family in LA so the company is just awesome. There’s plenty of them to take me around, especially to those places that only locals would know about.
Nearly every suburb (or second) has their own little local shopping villages. I have to say these places are generally overlooked because they aren’t the one stop shop place for you to buy all your groceries/everyday needs and usually only have a handful of independent shops. One of my local villages has a tuck shop that has been established since 2010 run by a local family (they went to my high school). It’s definitely a hidden gem that only those in the community know or have heard about it. Good hearty food at decent prices has won the hearts of the locals.
