Tucked away in Elizabeth Bay is Blancharu, a French-Japanese inspired restaurant run by Chef Haru Inukai. By day, treat yourself to a special lunch menu or a bowl of ramen from Monday to Thursdays 12pm-2pm only; or by night indulge yourself with an amazing dinner menu with a 5 or 7 course degustation available.
While taking a stroll to figure out what to have for lunch last Monday I noticed that Ippudo had opened its doors at Westfield Sydney, Level 5. I had no choice but to go in and have a go especially because there was much excitement over twitter and instagram regarding the opening of this famous Japanese enterprise.
Traveling between cities sure can get exhausting but you get caught up in the holiday excitement that keeps you going. Not only is it the things you get to see and do, but I think the eating adventures are just as fun and equally important. See what we got up to traveling from Sacramento to LA in just one day…..

I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before but the Boy and I have a massive soft spot for Japanese food. Having a free night meant that we could go on the hunt for a new place restaurant to get our fix – we always have serious cravings for it. We have a flick through the SMH Everyday Eats 2012 book and decide (after many, many umms and ahhs) to go with Manmaruya at Campsie (they have other branches at Hurstville and Ashfield).
