Quick Eats in Los Angeles, USA

This is my 3rd visit to LA since 2005 and I fall in love the city more and more each time. This trip we found ourselves doing things we’d normally wouldn’t/never be able to do.

Sokyo, Pyrmont

Another birthday calls for another reason to eat out. I asked the Boy where he wanted to go and although there were many many options, he went for Sokyo at The Star. We haven’t had the chance to eat at the range of places there except for Momofuku Seiobo.

Shibuya Delicious Japan, Haymarket

Word on the street was that there was a Japanese restaurant that sold everything for $3.50, even beer. Could that have been too good to be true? There was only one way to find out.

Blancharu, Elizabeth Bay

Tucked away in Elizabeth Bay is Blancharu, a French-Japanese inspired restaurant run by Chef Haru Inukai. By day, treat yourself to a special lunch menu or a bowl of ramen from Monday to Thursdays 12pm-2pm only; or by night indulge yourself with an amazing dinner menu with a 5 or 7 course degustation available.

Tenkomori Ramen House, Haymarket

Another ramen house within reach during work lunch hours for those in the Sydney CBD? Oh yes please! During the week of its grand opening, two awesome humans and I make our way to Regent Place to try out Menya’s new venture – Tenkomori. 

Ippudo, Sydney

While taking a stroll to figure out what to have for lunch last Monday I noticed that Ippudo had opened its doors at Westfield Sydney, Level 5. I had no choice but to go in and have a go especially because there was much excitement over twitter and instagram regarding the opening of this famous Japanese enterprise.
