Ciao! Buongiorno! Buona sera! Yes, I am in Italy (not right now though, I wish!) I was luckily enough to visit a handful of Italian cities including Rome, Florence, Venice & Pisa. The country is as beautiful and incredible as everyone says and it amazed me in every single way possible.
Coffee Warehouse Cafe & Deli, Homebush
22 MayHaving a large extended family means celebrating lots of birthdays therefore group dinners with great company. We celebrate a triple birthday this evening at The Coffee Warehouse Cafe & Deli in Homebush.
Pizza Mario, Surry Hills
6 DecWith the Boy being a huge fan of Italian food, it’s no wonder why he brings a bunch of us to Pizza Mario. It was proclaimed to be in the top list of Sydney’s best pizzas so he just had to try it (see Sydney Morning Herald article here).
Criniti’s, Parramatta
13 AugCriniti’s sure has revamped itself from the first time I ever went, well over 6 years ago. It was a place the boy and I would go regularly on dates, and the place to have birthday lunches/dinners with friends. I honestly can’t remember where we got the money to eat as we were high school students then but clearly my love for food started many, many years ago. Along with the physical renovations of the restaurant itself, the menu has changed with it. It has become more authentic over the years, and even adopting the proper Italian language for the different categories.
Candelori’s, Smithfield
9 JulIt’s always a joy to discover new restaurants close to home. Sometimes, a trek to the city for a feed seems absurd, considering I would spend more time in the car traveling to and from than having my bum on a chair at a restaurant. It’s definitely one of the down sides to living so far away from the CBD, but then again, I wouldn’t get the opportunity to explore what is outside of the city.
La Tratt, Fairfield
2 AprAgain, it seems like it is another post about the boy’s birthday. Did we really celebrate that much? Oops! Well the reason why we went to La Tratt, Fairfield was because I wanted to take the boy out to eat on his actual birthday. I couldn’t just let him go home and do the norm.
You’d never think that such a fancy schmancy place resided within an RSL. I’ve personally never been to Fairfield RSL until this evening and it’s a lot more grand than any RSL I’ve been to. The entrance to the club is filled with lots of trees and plants, in and amongst this are beautiful garden lights. Not only does it show you the entrance to the club but it creates that calm and serene atmosphere. Though, in my opinion a bit odd as the entrance is also the opening doors to the pokie machines.
