A quick getaway to the other side of the country (Perth, WA) saw us spending quality time with some relatives and exploring a new city. Our first eat of the trip was at To To Vietnamese – a cuisine not as readily available as it is in Sydney.
Located on Old Castle Hill Road as part of Castle Towers Shopping Centre is The Baron - one of the many places opening out west nowadays. It has been opened for a few short years and continues to draw in the crowds.

You’d think that after my previous Melbourne posts it felt like I had been there for at least a week. In fact I was only there for 4 days and it surely felt like an eating tour. Our stomachs were constantly full so it was nice to have a break and explore the beautiful Victoria for a day. From then we also decided to cancel some planned eats and settle for some quick bites instead.

A trip to Melbourne feels incomplete without a visit to one of the most talked brunch places, The Hardware Societe. I’ve been told queues and wait times can be quite lengthy so we purposely make the trip to Hardware Lane bright and early like as if we were city workers, lol.
Surry Hills has always been a hip and happening part of town that I don’t get to visit all that often. There’s always endless options catering for all types of appetites and purposes. A sunny, slightly warm Winter’s Saturday sees me making the visit to Devon Cafe with some dear friends for a long overdue catch up.
