My usual eating companion is my significant other (the poor thing), and so I get really excited when we have group dinners because it means more food to try with awesome company. With a dear friend on a short holiday back to Sydney, it calls for a group outing and we opt for Encasa for tapas, perfect for sharing.

Chinta Ria Mood For Love, Sydney CBD

Several months ago (we’re talking April here) the boy and I were ready to party with Cosmic Gate, a German trance dj duo who had an intimate concert in Sydney. For those that listen to trance, these are the guys who produced Exploration of Space and The Theme – two very popular trance anthems. Yes, I am a trance fan and a party goer (who would have thought hey?) but the night really tested me as it was a “rave” so to speak from 10pm – 6am. Nope, I didn’t last but it was a mighty good effort. Before dancing my way through the night we needed to feed our bellies! With our cravings for Malaysian food, Chinta Ria Mood for Love was the perfect place to try out.

Xanthi, Sydney

It took almost a year to get myself to Xanthi – one of the restaurants situated on the Dining Precinct (Level 6) of Westfield Sydney. I was envious of all the posts I had read – I’d love to link all the ones that made me drool but there’s just too many. Being in charge of a catch up due with some important people in my life, it was a no brainer that Xanthi was my pick for the evening.
