A free Saturday calls me rounding up some of my girls for a much needed catch up. Being the undecisive bunch of ladies we are, I go ahead and suggest a couple places. A trek to Surry Hills is always on the cards, but it’s just a matter of where. Decisions, decisions. And the winner is Orto Trading Co.!
Chewy Anzac Cookies
24 AprA quick recipe post: – with ANZAC Day being tomorrow, there is no better reason to bake some ANZAC cookies fit for this memorable day. I’ve always been a fan of the chewy sort of cookies, well, I’m actually like that with all cookies. I much prefer that soft and chewy texture as I think it melts in your mouth a bit more.
Chiswick, Woollahra
19 MarMatt Moran and Peter Sullivan have come together to create this absolutely wonderful restaurant and bar in the Chiswick Gardens in Woollahra. It is a casual yet contemporary place where one can enjoy the food made from fresh and seasonal produce, and/or to have a quick drink at the local bar.
Quay, The Rocks
13 DecHaving made a reservation well over 8 months ago, I could not believe that the time had finally come. It felt so ridiculous that I had to book almost a year ahead but I am so glad and thankful that I did. It was finally time to celebrate the 24th birthday :)
Cafe Ish, Surry Hills
30 NovAfter hearing so much about Cafe Ish, it was time I make a trip there myself. I did in fact get the chance to visit during good food month, so there were some Crave Sydney (Sydney International Food Festival) specials. It was a hot Sunday morning and the perfect opportunity for us to grab some brunch.
I opted for the Bush Brekkie Special that was available at the time. There was an option between the Soft Shell Crab Omelette or Emu Eggs, served with a small breakfast Trifle and a Wattle Maccachino for $25 (weekends only).
