I’m not the biggest fan of frozen yoghurt but I do have a tendency to crave it every now and again. Since it’s popping up everywhere and even so close to home, it’s always a quick fix for some relatively healthy dessert. A couple shops down from Holy Basil and around the corner from Chi Chi, Noggi (Canley Heights) has just opened its doors on March 22, 2013.
It’s 10.30pm on a Wednesday and the place is filled up! I ask myself what I’m doing there at that godly hour but I do blame the Boy (curse those late night finishes).
Just like Moochi, there is an array of toppings to choose from.
The decor of the place is pretty cool. Felt like I was in an igloo.
Regular Frozen Yoghurt + 3 toppings $5.90
I see taro on the menu and yep, that’s what I’m getting. It’s not your regular flavour but the asian in me jumps for joy. I have discovered my favourite froyo toppings – mochi, almond flakes and crunchy nut cereal.
Out of all the froyo places I’ve tried to date, I think Noggi is my favourite. The froyo stays true to what a frozen yoghurt should taste like with that bit of tang left on the palette. The flavour of taro shone through beautifully whilst still remaining smooth and airy. Yep, taro by a long shot, is my favourite flavour and so too the boy’s!
We can already see that this branch of noggi is going to be a hang out place for those who have just finished a gym session and/or the after school hours.
