Disneyland, Anaheim – California USA

15 Oct

No matter how many times I go back to Los Angeles, Disneyland is always a must visit. It’s the place where dreams come true, so why wouldn’t you go visit? Not only do I love seeing the characters, it’s the atmosphere and rides that I go for. It really is one of my favourite happy places.

Disneyland - Mickey

The gorgeous Mickey Mouse posing for the camera – say cheese!!

Disneyland - Mickey Pretzel

I love how they sell Mickey pretzels at Disneyland. I love the novelty of it, though you do feel bad for tearing and ripping apart Mickey’s innocent face! Sorry, Mickey :(

Disneyland - Minnie

Rubbing noses with Minnie – she’s so happy! :)

Disneyland - Churro

Can’t go to Disneyland without getting a churro! I must admit it tastes much like the churro you get at Costco. Still delicious nonetheless and very generous with the cinnamon sugar, which is a winner for me!

Disneyland - Cheesey Dog

A snack calls for some American foods. To start off with we go with a cheesy dog. The hot dog itself is some sort of smoked meat, which gives it a distinct flavour and is topped with mass amounts of cheese. We gobbled this up in no time.

Disneyland Corn Dog

Next a corn dog from a food truck! haha

Disneyland - Corn Dog

I loved the corn bread that covered the hot dog. I must admit it was very heavy to eat, but yet, we still munched it all up in a tick!

Disneyland - Tigger

RAWR!

Disneyland - Turkey Leg

Flashback: this was a photo taken in 2009 as shown by short hair and chubbiness (lol). This is to show you the awesome turkey legs that they have for sale all around the park. They aren’t just your average turkey legs, they are massive turkey legs that are half the size of my face!

California Adventure Park

California Adventure Park is right next door to Disneyland. Technically it is a separate theme park but of course are still linked. It includes the newer Disney themes and characters as well as Pixar, whereas Disneyland is original theme park.

Biggie and I did the double whammy and attempted to cover both theme parks in one day. Let me tell you that as much fun as we had, the heat made it extremely overwhelming and I am sad to say that we didn’t make it to the World of Colour show :( And because we went during off peak season, there were no fireworks scheduled for that evening. What a shame, but there is always next time =)

I have a serious love for Disneyland. My favourite ride is the Haunted Mansion. The first time I went on it I thought it was the best 5 minutes of my life! :P

    • Tina @ bitemeshowme 17 October, 2012 at 7:14 AM #

That was one of my favourite rides too! But it was closed for maintenance as I went right before halloween!

    Dear Tina,

Looks like you had an awesome vacation. Love the pics of Mickey Mouse and you rubbing noses with Minnie.

The corn bread looks nice and with these kind of sugar and fat laden street food, there is no wonder that I saw so many obese Americans in Disneyland.

    • Tina @ bitemeshowme 17 October, 2012 at 7:14 AM #

It sure isn’t the healthiest of foods but it Tastes great and is a quick and cheap eat, especially at a theme park

  15. Amanda@chewtown 16 October, 2012 at 9:48 PM #

Aaaahhhh Mickey Pretzels?!? Awesome. Now, that’s three posts in a row with no vegetables in sight… just sayin’ ;)

    • Tina @ bitemeshowme 17 October, 2012 at 7:16 AM #

Haha oh I know – its terrible! I don’t think I had much vegetables the whole trip unless it was the salad in my sandwiches lol :( guilty!

  16. hotlyspiced 16 October, 2012 at 10:14 PM #

It looks so wonderful and magical. I hope you do get to go back another time to experience all the things you couldn’t because of the heat xx

    • Tina @ bitemeshowme 17 October, 2012 at 7:17 AM #

It really is a magical place. Disneyland brings out the inner child within me :)
