Valentine’s Day Pops

14 Feb

I’m generally not one to celebrate Valentine’s Day but I thought I would try and get into the spirit and make a few things for this occassion.

Valentine's Day - Heart Cake Pops

Fancy some heart shaped cake pops? :) It sure wasn’t easy to do. I still have issues coating cake pops, especially heart shaped ones. I used this recipe from Not Quite Nigella and her Tim Tam Cookie Pop Recipe worked like a gem.

Valentine's Day - Macaron Pops

Fancy some heart macaron pops? :) I’m a big fan of macarons and do make them quite often. I sourced inspiration from Raspberri Cupcakes – someone of whom I admire with her wonderful macaron creations. Normal circular macarons are hard enough to make, let alone heart shaped ones. They aren’t perfect but at least you can still see a heart shape, sort of.

Valentine's Day - Heart Macaron Pops

On the eve of Valentine’s Day, I wrapped some macaron pops with clear cellophane and tied the most ugliest bow with ribbon to give to my boy and some special girlfriends.

Happy Valentine’s Day to you all!

These are gorgeous! Very clever to make the macs into pops, and the presentation is lovely.
